A sizzle reel that I put together for NYC matchmaker Siggy Flicker.
True story: I once saw one of the guys from her TV show on the subway.

UniversalRepublic.com - Project Manager/Producer
The old UniversalRepublic.com needed a complete overhaul, rebrand and relaunch. The project called for a website that could represent over 100 artists and a busy record release schedule in a way that could be easily updated and proved to be a massive undertaking. I directed the content strategy, user experience, design and development phases and advised on the implementation of CMS as well as mobile optimization. Post-launch, I served as Content Manager.
teenspiritnyc.com - Creator
I started this blog with a friend in February of 2010 as an online lifestyle zine. In the beginning, we had words like "collaborative" "diy" and "lo-fi" on our dossier, but as the content evolved, we needed something cleaner and more content-focused. Below are two different phases of the blog, both of which I designed and coded.

Girls' Night - Collaborator/Designer/DJ
A monthly dance night with punk, riot grrrl, 90's jams, britpop & all the music that alternagirls were raised on. Below are some posters that I designed for the events.

“You can order from our dotcom or follow us on twitter!” - overheard from toddler playing pretend lemonade stand in Fort Greene.
“What did you say? Who are you???” her mother asked in shock.
Young children adapting to technology is such a novelty these days. Everyone talks imtimidatedly about their niece, nephew or friends’ babies who can use computers better than the rest of us. For a time, I too was in awe of my 3-year-old nephew’s doubtless command of his iPod Touch. “Slide to unlock” seems second nature to babies who grow up around iPhones and iPads, and, as a new(ish) phenomenon, it may seem impressive, but then you acknowledge that today’s devices are far more intuitive to use than the shit that we grew up with.
I can’t help but toot my own horn now when I recall that when I was five years old, I navigated not with a user-friendly touch-screen interface, but command-line DOS on a black & white screen. No mouse. A mouse was a luxury that my family did not acquire for another six years down the road.
In short, tech-savvy youths should have been far more daunting then than they are now.
